Please be advised that this list is not exhaustive and there are more fixes in the works. Its a pretty great deal for me.Known issues - (Updated ) - Total War: WARHAMMER IIIīelow you can find the current list of issues that have been reported and are currently under review for future development. I know exactly what I am getting so I only get a free race DLC with pre-ordering that I can play before 2 launches. Theres just no way they can make all of the content they are making in a single title.Ĭonsidering total warhammer 2 is going to be mainly comprised of people who own total warhammer 1 pre-orders are almost risk free. Sadly naming the new world and whatever the third game will have total war warhammer 2 and 3 was a mistep since it seems to confuse a lot of people and cause kneejerk reactions like CA is milking total warhammer like Ubisoft milks assassins creed. Considering this is one of the biggest and most ambitious game development projects and most all of the DLC gives me at least a hundred hours of content this does make sense to me, and I love the game. Compared to table top even buying every game and DLC is much cheaper then fielding a single high point table top army. Considering its A) one of the reasons CA made the total war series to work up to a total warhammer game and B) a huge financial success they have plenty of incentive to keep making content. Total warhammer is CA converting as much of the warhammer fantasy table top into a total war video game as possible. 2 and 3 and all the DLCs are basically continued support of 1 on new maps that will eventually be combined into a single huge campeign map. Total warhammer 1 and 2 and 3 are the same game. Their original DLC and sequel plans were leaked before the game was released and they pale in comparison to what we actually got.Īnd if you don't want to pre-order or buy Warhammer 2 in it's first week, then you can just get this DLC for £8 if you already have the first game. People have been wanting the minor factions to be fleshed out, but there was no indication that CA would even be allowed to do so by Games Workshop, let alone that they wanted to do so in the first place. (Which will merge with the second game when it comes out into one big game anyway.)įor fans of the first game, this is something no one ever saw coming. It reduces backlash, increases pre-order sells and potentially boosts sales of the first game. So they're making the early-adopter DLC for Warhammer 1 and are releasing it over a month before Warhammer 2 comes out. But the backlash for the pre-order DLC for Warhammer 1 was so grate they didn't want to risk repeating it for Warhammer 2. And this is okay with you all? Like, logically, this makes sense to you?ĬA has been making pre-order factions since Shogun 2. You get this for pre-ordering the new one. Other than that it's pretty much gravy though!Įdit: ok got it. Hopefully the patch that adds Norsca improves their ability to survive in an increasingly-hostile world (as more hostile factions get full rosters, the Empire has been progressively less likely to survive). The Empire is supposed to be the strongest single faction (by a gnat's whisker, perhaps, but still, they're the axis around which Warhammer Fantasy rotates) and they're regularly obliterated, sometimes even before the player makes real contact with them. However, there are a few small concerns, chiefly that Norsca will make a struggling Empire, when controlled by AI, even weaker. In addition to giving it away with a preorder, it's also available for a reasonable price ($10 for a faction of the depth and detail of TWW's factions is pretty okay). This is content that is not "held out" of a major release to sell back to us, but clearly entirely new content that CA thought was cool. The simple fact is that Norsca is already a more interesting faction than the "big bad" of the Warhammer universe, and CA won't leave it that way. It's a sign that Warriors of Chaos will ultimately be reworked. Sure, we're all a little more amped to get our hands on Lizardmen, Elves, and Skaven, but Norsca looks badass! Norsca gives us a new toy to play with in the months before TWW2 releases. The release of TWW2 does not obsolete TWW1. The two games will be merged into a giant grand campaign post-launch. It breathes life into a region of the first game that is largely static Norsca spams a few units and is typically very boring. Most of the hardcore Total War: Warhammer fans are pretty stoked on this, for a few reasons: Just to address this point: this is great. And this is okay with you all? Like, logically, this makes sense to you?
